The sun has come back after a few days of rain and once more I’m able to have breakfast and dinner outside. This evening as I prepared to take my dinner outside I noticed I had a guest joining me. The summer has been very good for butterflies, something I have noticed while out walking and there’ have been a number of Cabbage White butterflies trying to force their way through the netting protecting my raised beds. I believe this is a Red Admiral, probably the first butterfly youngsters are taught to recognise in the UK as they are common in gardens. Obviously as soon as I got close it was off to find a new resting place. In some respects it was just as well. My dinner wasn’t very suitable for it and I wasn’t planning on sharing it anyway!
