For my first morning back in the UK I was greeted with almost perfect blue skies akin to those I had been used to seeing over the last two weeks. I took the decision to move yesterday’s laundry from the clothes horses onto the outdoor line so that it would dry quicker. Having stepped outside to put up the washing line I was quickly back inside getting a coat as it was so much colder than I have been used to at that time. Based on the outside temperature the car was reporting I reckon it was about 15C colder than I was used to, and give it was only 8C at the time, that’s quite a big change. By the time the washing out my fingers were struggling with the pegs and I was left wanting for a warmer climate much quicker than I had expected.
